Maintenance Course 

The Base motorcycle club maintenance course is available to students and is designed to educate and bolster the self-confidence of those who would otherwise be concerned about doing their own maintenance using the tool kit provided with their machine and/or basic tools at home.

The course consists of 4 hours of theory and 4 hours of practical in the afternoon.

The theory discusses frame, electrical, brakes, drive systems, cooling systems, tires and wheels, cabling and more!

The practical is spent looking at an engine`s internal parts, how they work, then getting hands dirty to pull off wheels, adjust chains, clutches, adjust lights, bleed brakes, oil change.

Students should be aware that skinning of knuckles and other scrapes and abrasions are possible, need to wear old clothes and dress for the weather.

There is a one hour lunch break
